How we started:
Our journey began with a passion for lawns and landscapes at an early age. At just 10 years old in Shreveport, LA, our founder started mowing lawns for neighbors and family friends, developing a love for outdoor work and an unwavering attention to detail. Even then, precision and quality were a priority—values that would later become a cornerstone of our business.
That passion carried into college, where a move to Ruston, LA, to attend Louisiana Tech University opened the door to new opportunities. While studying Landscape Design and Plant Science, our founder gained hands-on experience working with and shadowing a local landscape company, further refining the meticulous approach to lawn care and design that would define Southern Grounds.
With a deep understanding of the business and a commitment to excellence, the next step was clear—it was time to go into business. Southern Grounds Lawn and Landscape LLC was officially founded with the purchase of a few existing companies, bringing fresh energy and a customer-focused approach to landscaping. From the beginning, attention to detail remained a driving force, ensuring that every project met the highest standards.
As the company grew, so did its reach. A move to Oklahoma led to the expansion of Southern Grounds, establishing a thriving Oklahoma division while continuing to serve clients in Louisiana.
